Scholarship Applications - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

So after four years of busting your butt, staying up late, cramming tons and tons of information you have found out that the hard work you put in has finally paid off. You have tons of college offers pouring through your mailbox and now you wonder what's next. Like millions of soon to be college students out there you can go ahead and sign up for the numerous private loans available for school and get yourself into thousands of dollars in debt before you even pick up your first college book or you can go the alternative path and sign up for as many scholarships that you can qualify for. Signing up for a school loan is relatively easy and the majority of application process depends on your credit score. Thankfully the scholarships application process works in a much more different fashion.

There are a majority of scholarships applications out there that are based on merit. Meaning your previous grades in high school, your athletic achievements, academic achievements. And in some cases you can qualify for a scholarship based on your ethnicity and family background. I'll have to admit that some of qualifications you have to go through during the scholarships application process can be very difficult.

But not all scholarships are equal. The amount of free money you can receive from the scholarships can range from $100-$10,000 and in some cases it can be even more than that. Thankfully there are some scholarships out there that hand out upwards of $10,000 and the qualification is based on your ethnicity. You can thank your relatives and grandparents for giving you that edge.

The Importance of Scholarships and Grants For Women

Being a woman nowadays is a very challenging position to be in. The opposition from the opposite sex to meet demands that are highly unfavorable is very unfair. And in some cases when it comes between a man a woman competing for the same position the woman has to work twice as hard to achieve the same level of respect that the opposite sex receives.

Thankfully there is a major benefit for all woman nowadays, especially single mothers that are striving to put their family in a better position for the future. This major benefit comes in a form of scholarships and grants for women. Having this access to free money to fund the highly expensive education of a future soon-to-be CEO of a Fortune 500 company is a major benefit. You never know how far you might take your education and career until you take that first step. Who knows where you might end up five years from now. The best arsenal that you can have right now is the free funding available for your future career path. And even if you have kids the free funding is available to use for their education too. This means less out pocket spending for books, parking fees, tuition, food etc.

Most parents know that children can be quite expensive especially when there are going to school to achieve their future dreams. As a mother you know that you have to make sacrifices in order to see your children exceed and achieve a high level of success in the future career paths.

Private Scholarships Offer $10,000 to Help All Women Go Back to School

If you are a single or working mother and would like to return back to school, many times finances can get in the way of this decision. This is a very common problem now in America in our current financial times.

However, private scholarships and Obama grants now make $10,000 available to help you return back to college so you can get the degree you have been wanting and finally land the job that will pay all of your bills with no worries.

Fact: Women have a much easier time getting free money to go back to school than men do.

Any money that is received from either a grant or scholarship never has to be returned, is not taxed, and you do not have to pass a credit check in order to receive grant or scholarship money. Money you receive can be used for any purpose whatsoever, you can buy small laptop, or you can take a small trip or vacation before you decide to start your educational journey.

If you do not want to go to a university nearby many women start going to school online to get their degree. Many prestigious universities such as Harvard and Yale have started offering degrees online as well. From the comfort of your own home you can get a degree from anything such as psychology to nursing to even take of radiology and immersing yourself within the medical community.
